Sarah Ruiz is a clinical research leader with more than a decade of hands-on experience spanning site operations, clinical trial execution, and the implementation of clinical applications. Currently serving as Director of Market Strategy at Kivo, Sarah brings a uniquely comprehensive perspective to regulatory technology—shaped by years in the trenches of clinical research. She works across product, marketing, and commercial teams to ensure that Kivo’s platform is positioned to meet the real-world needs of sponsors, CROs, and sites alike.

Sarah’s career has consistently bridged the gap between operations and technology. At Vial Health Technology, she served as Senior Director of Product Management Operations, where she oversaw clinical application validation, LMS systems, and trial operations across global studies. Her leadership extended to data management and biostatistics oversight, enabling her to bring a process-driven, data-informed approach to the full trial lifecycle—from study start-up to closeout.

Before joining Vial, Sarah held strategic roles at CRIO, where she led enterprise-level implementations of eSource, eReg, and CTMS solutions, and supported customers with data migration and training. Her earlier site-based roles, including Clinical Study Coordinator and Research Team Lead, gave her firsthand experience navigating regulatory submissions, managing trial budgets, and coordinating directly with sponsors. This full-spectrum exposure has made her a trusted voice in clinical strategy and technology adoption.

Sarah holds a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Central Florida, with concentrations in Life & Biomedical Sciences and Behavioral & Social Sciences. Her education and certifications—including SDTM training and GCP compliance—support her deep technical fluency and her commitment to excellence in clinical research. Whether optimizing a trial workflow or shaping product-market fit, Sarah brings unmatched insight into how trials actually run—and how technology can make them better.
