Darshan Patel
Director of Clinical Services
Darshan Patel is a clinical operations and document management expert with over nine years of experience supporting clinical trials across sponsor, site, and CRO environments. Currently serving as Director of Implementation and Support at Kivo, Darshan leads the deployment of eTMF, Regulatory Information Management (RIM), and Quality Management System (QMS) solutions for life sciences organizations. His ability to bridge clinical operations with digital systems enables sponsors and CROs to adopt fit-for-purpose solutions that promote compliance, inspection readiness, and operational excellence.
Darshan’s career has been deeply rooted in TMF best practices. Prior to joining Kivo, he held senior roles at IQVIA, where he served as Associate Director of TMF Solutions and led global client engagements for eTMF implementations, migrations, and training. He contributed to the development of IQVIA’s TMF system and frequently presented at industry conferences, offering thought leadership on inspection readiness and system optimization. His background in customer success ensures that technical deployments are supported with strong stakeholder communication and a focus on long-term value.
Earlier in his career, Darshan gained operational experience in both sponsor and site settings. At Autolus, he managed TMF systems for early-phase oncology trials, participated in system validation and user acceptance testing, and oversaw SOP and training program development. His hands-on roles at King’s College London and Richmond Pharmacology provided early insight into regulatory documentation, GCP compliance, and clinical lab workflows—insight that continues to inform his practical, end-user-centric approach to implementation and support.
Darshan holds an MSc in Clinical Drug Development from Queen Mary University of London and a BSc in Biomedical Sciences from St George’s University of London. With a proven track record of helping clinical teams navigate both the science and the systems behind successful trials, he brings a rare combination of technical acumen, operational empathy, and regulatory fluency to every engagement.
